Handmade Italian Rugs for Luxury Contemporary Interiors

Mavimatt Rug Collection is the section dedicated to custom handmade rugs created to enhance luxury contemporary interiors and complement the brand’s sculptural design objects. Made in Italy through a manual hand-tufting technique, each rug is conceived as a bespoke textile surface, developed to interact with the space, the furniture and the visual identity of the environment.

Each Mavimatt rug can be customised in shape, dimensions, colours, texture and graphic composition. Different pile heights, from 15 mm to 60 mm, can be combined to create refined volumes, while manual shearing allows the surface to be finished with two-dimensional or three-dimensional effects. This approach makes it possible to develop high-end handmade rugs with a strong visual presence, designed for private residences, lounge areas, bedrooms, boutiques and exclusive interior design projects.

The collection uses selected yarns such as 100% pure New Zealand wool, a natural fibre appreciated for its authentic texture, resistance and refined visual effect. Available in a wide range of colours, Mavimatt rugs can be developed to accompany specific pieces such as the UFO Rocking Chair, the Lava Bookcase or the Macaron Coffee Table, creating a dialogue between sculptural furniture, textile surfaces, material research and Italian craftsmanship.

Alongside rugs designed for Mavimatt objects, the Rug Collection also includes bespoke rugs developed as independent pieces for private clients, architects and interior designers. Each project can be created according to the proportions, atmosphere and requirements of the interior, offering a personalised rug designed to become a distinctive element within the space.
