Tarta – Turtle-Inspired Coffee Table

TARTA
when nature becomes design, and sculpture becomes furniture

With TARTA, Mavimatt redefines the boundary between art and function, transforming a furnishing element into a sensory and visual experience. This is far more than a coffee table: it is a sculptural piece that tells a profound story of nature, reimagined through the expert hands of Italian artisans. Entirely handcrafted in Italy, TARTA embodies the brand’s philosophy celebrating raw materials, exalting form, and using design to tell stories.

Its name, its shape, its essence everything about TARTA evokes the turtle, a timeless symbol of wisdom, stability, and deep connection to the earth. In its slow movements, the turtle preserves the true rhythm of nature. In its shell, it reveals a geometry born of natural harmony. TARTA pays homage to this structure, capturing its quiet strength and translating it into a refined, powerful, and poetic design language.

This sculptural table gently yet authoritatively commands attention, becoming an instant focal point in any space. Whether placed in a modern, classic, or eclectic interior, TARTA is designed for those who value authenticity and seek out objects that do not follow trends but rather, inspire them.

Description

An ode to nature, forged in metal

TARTA is born from raw material shaped with care and vision. Its body is entirely made of metal, manually cut, welded, and finished through a precise, slow, and conscious process. Each piece begins with a flat sheet, gradually transformed by hand into a flowing, sculptural object. Here, technique becomes artistry, and metal becomes a living surface.

What makes each TARTA truly unique is the array of exquisite finishes, including the captivating metal acid-etching, a special process that produces natural textures and variegated hues, recalling the colors of a turtle’s shell. With its iridescent reflections and organic patterns, the surface comes alive each piece becomes a unique skin, shaped by time, light, and transformation.

The result is an object rich in personality, authenticity, and emotion no two are ever the same. Just like in nature, every creation tells its own story.

Design that moves you, material that speaks

TARTA is not just a coffee or accent table: it is a statement piece, a symbol of organic elegance for those who believe design is a form of personal expression. Whether placed in a refined living room, an executive study, or a private gallery, TARTA invites interaction. It draws the eye, stirs the imagination, and adds a sense of soulful presence to any setting.

Its sculptural silhouette balances structural solidity with visual lightness, making it incredibly versatile. It’s not just a furnishing piece, but a spark of inspiration one that speaks of refined taste, deep appreciation for beauty, and a desire to live surrounded by meaning.

Details that make the difference
