Sierra Rug
Designed around the Sierra Coffee Table
A hand-tufted wool rug created specifically for the Sierra Coffee Table.
Its organic surface incorporates a concentric graphic motif that visually continues the table’s flowing form onto the floor, as if the descending drop were generating ripples beneath the piece.
Inside the Sierra Rug
Design Concept
The Sierra Rug was conceived to transform one of the table’s most distinctive details into an element of the surrounding space.
By extending the visual effect of the flowing drop beyond the object itself, the rug creates a dedicated setting that strengthens the presence of Sierra within the interior.
Form & Composition
The rug combines a soft organic outline with a series of concentric rings positioned around the point where the table’s sculptural drop meets the floor.
The composition can be developed in a single color for a more restrained result or in two contrasting tones coordinated with the finishes of the Sierra Coffee Table.
Hand-Tufted in Italy
Hand-tufted in Italy using 100% New Zealand wool, each Sierra Rug is individually crafted through an artisanal process.
Yarn colors can be selected according to the desired composition, while the pile can be kept at a uniform height for a clean graphic surface or developed at different heights to introduce greater depth and three-dimensional definition.
Each rug is finished with a hand-sewn Mavimatt textile label.
Each Mavimatt rug is individually hand-tufted in Italy. Subtle variations in color, texture, pile height and surface finish are natural characteristics of the handmade process and make every piece unique. A limited amount of fiber shedding may occur, particularly during initial use, as is natural with hand-tufted wool rugs.

A Coordinated Composition
Created to accompany the Sierra Coffee Table, the rug acts as a visual anchor within the interior, framing the piece and defining its presence in space. Together, the two pieces create a unified setting in which furniture and floor become part of the same design language.
