While furnishing his new home in Milan, the renowned artist wanted to bring in iconic pieces capable of giving personality to the space without compromising on quality. When he discovered the world of Mavimatt, something clicked immediately: bold design, sculptural lines, one-of-a-kind handmade pieces. It was exactly what he had been looking for.
An encounter sparked by a love for design
After exploring our collections, Jake reached out to meet us in person and learn more about the story and philosophy behind the brand. He wanted to see up close how our pieces come to life, the materials we use, and the vision that guides each creation.
When we stepped into his new home, still taking shape, his intention was clear: to create environments that reflected his artistic identity, with a design that felt elegant, powerful and deeply personal. Together, we explored different possibilities — studying colors, proportions, combinations. Each piece needed to blend seamlessly into the space yet stand out as a contemporary sculpture.
It was through this dialogue that one of our studio’s most iconic creations was chosen: the Magma console.

For Jake, we created a one-of-a-kind edition of the Magma console, defined by an extraordinary chrome-red hue — intense, deep, and capable of shifting in vibration as the light changes.
Like all Mavimatt creations, Magma is born from a fully artisanal process:
a single block of aluminum is hollowed, shaped, and refined by hand until it reaches that fluid form that recalls matter in its liquid state. No two pieces are ever the same; each console carries its own energy, its own unrepeatable identity.
