A floor lamp inspired by a bouquet of three flowers
Lumos is a sculptural brass floor lamp, handcrafted in Italy and inspired by the composition of a three-flower bouquet.
Rising from a single base, its three stems open into broad metal petals, each centered by a hand-blown Murano glass element that becomes the luminous heart of the piece.
Inside Lumos
Inspired by a Bouquet of Three Flowers
Lumos draws inspiration from three flowers gathered into a single bouquet. This concept takes shape through three individual elements that rise and open outward, creating a balanced relationship between stems, petals, and light.
The structure retains the vertical rhythm of a floral arrangement, while the broad petals give the piece a strong visual presence. At the center of each petal sits a Murano glass bulb, introducing a softer and more luminous counterpoint to the metal body.
A colored band detail gathers the stems together and recalls the tone of the glass, visually connecting the different parts of the lamp.
Hand-Worked Brass and Murano Glass
Lumos is handcrafted in Italy, one piece at a time, combining brass metalworking with Murano glassmaking. Its metal structure is made entirely of brass and shaped by skilled artisans.
Each of the three petals is individually hammered to create a textured surface, giving the metal a more vibrant character and allowing the handwork to remain visible in the finished piece.
The three luminous elements are hand-blown from Murano glass by a master Murano glassmaker. Each glass bulb is individually shaped and houses an integrated LED light source, allowing light to pass through the glass.
Once the brass structure has been fully worked and refined, it proceeds to the finishing phase, where each piece is treated and completed by hand according to the selected edition.
Every Lumos is completed with an aluminum identification plaque engraved with the Mavimatt logo. Crafted by a specialist jeweler and applied by hand to the base, the plaque identifies the lamp as an authentic Mavimatt creation.
RAL Colors, Chrome Finishes, Metal Etching, and Murano Glass Colors
Lumos is available in three distinct editions, each offering a different interpretation of its handcrafted brass structure.
The RAL Edition offers a wide selection of RAL colors for the brass structure, applied through a specialized liquid-coating process and available with matte or gloss finishes.
The Chrome Edition features reflective metallic finishes in tones such as yellow gold, rose gold, and silver, with additional metallic colors available on request.
The Metal Etching Edition introduces distinctive acid-etched surface effects across the brass structure, giving the metal a more expressive and individual character.
In every edition, the Murano glass bulbs can be produced in different colors selected by the client. The decorative band detail is coordinated to recall the chosen tone of the glass, reinforcing the visual dialogue between the luminous elements and the structure as a whole.
Lumos — A Closer Look
Each Mavimatt piece is individually handcrafted in Italy. Subtle variations in surface, tone, texture, form and hand-finished details are inherent to artisanal production and make every piece unique. Every Lumos is prepared for shipment inside a custom-built wooden crate, made according to its specific shape, dimensions and characteristics. Inside, the piece is carefully protected and secured using dedicated packing solutions designed to limit movement and stress during transportation.
