Nido is a handcrafted Italian designer dining table designed around the idea of gathering.
Its design draws on the nest as a place of protection and return, translating that concept into a sculptural table where soft, continuous lines are paired with two egg-shaped supports.

Inspired by the Nest as a Place of Gathering
Nido takes its name from the nest, understood as a protected space where life comes together and relationships are formed. This idea became the conceptual starting point for the table.
As the dining table is naturally associated with conviviality and shared moments, the design reinterprets the symbolism of the nest through a composition that combines shelter, balance and softness.
Two of the supports are shaped like eggs, reinforcing the reference directly within the structure of the piece. These elements introduce a strong visual identity while connecting the table to the idea of home as a place of connection and belonging.
A Hand-Finished Dining Table with Sculptural Supports
Nido is handcrafted in Italy, with each table made individually. The tabletop and main supporting structure form a continuous body combining metal, carbon fiber, and fiberglass. This body incorporates two integrated legs, creating a cohesive sculptural form.
The two egg-shaped legs are produced separately, then refined by hand to achieve their smooth, rounded geometry.
Once all elements are complete, every surface is carefully sanded and prepared for finishing before each table undergoes a specialized liquid-coating process.
Each Nido is completed with an aluminum identification plaque engraved with the Mavimatt logo. Crafted by a specialist jeweler and applied by hand, the plaque identifies the table as an authentic Mavimatt creation.
Monochrome, Contrasting Finishes, and Tailor Made
Nido is available in several editions, allowing the relationship between the tabletop and egg-shaped supports to be interpreted in different ways. The RAL Edition offers a wide selection of RAL colors, with matte or gloss finishes.
The Chrome Edition offers reflective metallic finishes in tones such as yellow gold, rose gold and silver with additional metallic colors available on request.
Through Mavimatt Tailor Made, bespoke textures, surface effects, and special finishes can be developed for individual interiors or custom projects.
Nido can be produced in a single-color configuration, where the top and legs share the same finish, or in a contrasting version in which the egg-shaped supports are finished differently from the main body.
This allows the client to emphasize either the unity of the form or the visual dialogue between the tabletop and its sculpted supports.

Each Mavimatt piece is individually handcrafted in Italy. Subtle variations in surface, tone, texture, form and hand-finished details are inherent to artisanal production and make every piece unique.
