Its cloud-inspired composition brings together generous upholstered volumes and a curved composite base, creating a sense of softness, continuity, and visual lightness.

Shaped by the Softness of Clouds
Nuvola takes its name and inspiration from the forms of clouds moving across the sky: volumes without rigid geometry, recognizable yet constantly changing. This idea is translated into a sofa composed of rounded elements that overlap and meet organically, from the curved base to the generously proportioned seat and backrests.
Rather than following a conventional linear structure, Nuvola develops as a sequence of soft volumes gathered into a single composition.
The contrast between the smooth lower shell and the upholstered elements above reinforces the sensation of suspended, cloud-like forms while maintaining the proportions and comfort of a functional sofa.
A Carbon Fiber and Fiberglass Base Shaped Around Layered Comfort
Each Nuvola is handcrafted in Italy, one piece at a time, bringing together the expertise of specialist craftspeople, painters, and upholsterers. Its lower shell is made from fiberglass and carbon fiber composite materials, then shaped, refined, and sanded by hand before finishing.
The upholstered structure combines layers of foam with varying densities and memory foam to create a soft, supportive seat while preserving the rounded geometry of the design.
Mavimatt upholsterers shape and cover each upholstered element by hand using the selected material.
Each Nuvola is completed with a Mavimatt identification label, hand-sewn onto the finished sofa as a mark of authenticity.
A Dialogue Between the Base and Upholstered Volumes
Nuvola’s character emerges from the relationship between its finished composite base and selected upholstery. The RAL Edition offers a wide range of RAL colors, applied through a specialized liquid-coating process with matte or gloss finishes.
The Chrome Edition offers reflective metallic finishes, including yellow gold, rose gold, and silver, with additional metallic tones available on request.
Through Mavimatt Tailor Made, bespoke textures, material-inspired effects, and special surface finishes can be developed for the base to meet the requirements of a specific interior or project.
The upholstered elements are available in a selection of leather, velvet, and fabrics, offered in a variety of colors and textures.
By coordinating or contrasting the upholstery with the lower shell, Nuvola can take on markedly different expressions while preserving the soft composition at the heart of its design.

Each Mavimatt piece is individually handcrafted in Italy. Subtle variations in surface, tone, texture, form and hand-finished details are inherent to artisanal production and make every piece unique. A Custom-Built Crate for Nuvola
Built around Nuvola’s shape and dimensions to protect it throughout its journey.
Every Nuvola is prepared for shipment inside a custom-built wooden crate, made according to its specific shape, dimensions and characteristics. Inside, the piece is carefully protected and secured using dedicated packing solutions designed to limit movement and stress during transportation.
From Italy, we arrange worldwide delivery by road, air or sea, selecting the most appropriate solution according to the destination and the characteristics of the order.
