Description
A call to nature
With this piece, Mavimatt writes a new chapter in the world of luxury furnishings. A coffee table that embodies the lightness, freedom and beauty of the natural world. The idea behind the project is simple and at the same time revolutionary: to transform the delicacy of butterflies into a one-of-a-kind coffee table. Nothing like it exists in the contemporary design landscape. The surface of our product bends into soft, natural curves, evoking the very wingbeat of this incredible insect. The slender central structure acts as a fulcrum, representing the body of the butterfly.
If you choose Papilio for your living room or workspace, it will certainly not go unnoticed. This design piece is capable of bringing a touch of poetry into domestic environments, drawing you closer to the essence of nature every time you look at it. Choosing it means bringing a symbol into your space — not just a coffee table. A fragment of nature made immortal through design, a constant dialogue between man and the natural world that surrounds him. Papilio is a functional sculpture, combining visual lightness with a commanding stage presence.
Craftsmanship and fine workmanship
Every Papilio coffee table is crafted entirely by hand by our skilled Mavimatt artisans, with deep respect for the authentic value of Made in Italy. Every curve, every surface is the result of precise workmanship that unites respect for tradition with the drive to innovate that has always set us apart. The techniques employed draw from our artisanal knowledge, handed down and constantly refined to bring to life a furnishing piece that knows no compromise. Once again, Mavimatt remains true to its own philosophy: creating something that goes beyond the simple concept of furniture, elevating its products into design works destined to stand the test of time.
The different finishes of Papilio
Just as nature expresses itself through an infinite variety of colours, Papilio will also be offered in a range of colours and materials, so as to suit every personal taste and every interior style. The surfaces will be treated with liquid painting, a highest-quality technology that allows for impeccable details and intense reflections. Special editions are also planned, including a version crafted entirely in marble, conceived for those who wish to combine the formal lightness of the wings with the solidity of stone. Every choice of material and finish will be carefully studied to enhance to the fullest the sinuous lines that define the identity of Papilio.
Details that make the difference
Like all pieces signed by Mavimatt, Papilio is accompanied by an aluminium identification plate, crafted entirely by hand by one of our goldsmiths. A seal of authenticity that bears witness to the extreme care behind every creation, making each coffee table a work destined to endure over time.
Packaging and shipping
Every Papilio coffee table will be delivered inside a custom-made wooden crate, designed to preserve the integrity of the piece during transport to its destination. Every detail is carefully considered to offer an uncompromising luxury experience.
Technical drawing
Every piece we create is a singular work of art, shaped by hand with dedication and passion. The slight variations and imperfections that the final product may present compared to the reference images are distinguishing marks of our craftsmanship and enrich the uniqueness of each creation.
