A Familiar Form Reimagined as Sculptural Design
Macaron draws inspiration from the balanced, layered profile of a French macaron. Rather than reproducing this familiar form literally, its design translates those proportions into two smooth, rounded volumes separated by a central element.
This middle section is not simply visual: it rotates outward to become the usable surface of the table. When closed, Macaron retains a compact and almost monolithic silhouette. When opened, the central plane extends beyond the body, transforming the object and revealing its functional character.
A Composite Body Built Around a Rotating Mechanism
Macaron is handcrafted in Italy, one piece at a time. Its structure combines metal with a solid composite body made from carbon fiber and fiberglass.
The upper and lower volumes are individually formed, worked and refined by hand, while the internal metal components support the rotating central surface and its movement.
Each element is carefully sanded and prepared by hand before undergoing a specialized liquid-coating process, followed by manual finishing.
Every Macaron is completed with an aluminum identification plaque engraved with the Mavimatt logo. Crafted by a specialist jeweler and applied by hand, the plaque identifies the table as an authentic Mavimatt creation.
Unique Colors, Contrasting Finishes, and Tailor Made
Macaron is available in different finish configurations designed to emphasize the relationship between its rounded body and central rotating surface.
The RAL Edition is available in a wide selection of RAL colors, with matte or gloss finishes. Depending on the configuration, contrasting finishes can emphasize the relationship between the rounded body and rotating central surface, creating a distinctive visual composition.
Through Mavimatt Tailor Made, additional color combinations and bespoke surface finishes can be developed on request to create a personalized interpretation of Macaron.

Each Mavimatt piece is individually handcrafted in Italy. Subtle variations in surface, tone, texture, form and hand-finished details are inherent to artisanal production and make every piece unique. Every Macaron is prepared for shipment inside a custom-built wooden crate, made according to its specific shape, dimensions and characteristics. Inside, the piece is carefully protected and secured using dedicated packing solutions designed to limit movement and stress during transportation.
