Orbis is a handcrafted sculptural wine display defined by the interplay of circular geometry, metal, and natural marble.
Ten individual bottle supports are integrated into the circular structure, allowing Orbis to hold and display up to ten wine bottles.

A Circle Defined by Metal and Fractured Marble
Orbis draws on elemental, almost primordial geometries, with the circle forming the central element of the composition. Its continuous metal ring is interrupted visually by an irregular block of natural marble at its base.
The contrast is deliberate: the precision of the circular form meets the raw, unpredictable outline of stone broken by hand.
The ten bottle supports follow the curve of the ring, integrating the functional purpose of the wine display directly into its geometry rather than treating it as a separate element.
Metalwork and Hand-Finished Natural Marble
Orbis is produced in Italy through an artisanal process that combines metalworking with the hand-finishing of natural stone. The circular structure and its base are formed in metal, with ten individual supports positioned around the ring to accommodate the bottles.
Depending on the selected edition and finish, the metalwork can also be developed in materials including brass, zinc and copper.
The marble element is created from a solid block of natural stone, deliberately broken and subsequently worked, sanded and refined by hand while preserving the irregular character created by the fracture.
Each Orbis is completed with an aluminum identification plaque engraved with the Mavimatt logo. Crafted by a specialist jeweler and applied by hand, the plaque serves as a distinctive mark of authenticity, identifying the piece as an original Mavimatt creation.
Contrasting Metals, Colors, and Natural Marble
The metal structure of Orbis can be finished in a range of colors using a specialized liquid-coating process, allowing the circular body and base to be customized to complement the surrounding interior.
Alternative metal expressions can also be developed in brass, zinc or copper, each offering a different tone, surface character and visual relationship with the stone.
The marble element is available in a selection of natural marble varieties, chosen on request.
By combining specific stones with different metal colors and finishes, each configuration can create a distinct contrast between the controlled geometry of the ring and the natural variation of the marble.
Orbis — A Closer Look
Each Mavimatt piece is individually handcrafted in Italy. Subtle variations in surface, tone, texture, form and hand-finished details are inherent to artisanal production and make every piece unique. Every Orbis is prepared for shipment inside a custom-built wooden crate, made according to its specific shape, dimensions and characteristics. Inside, the piece is carefully protected and secured using dedicated packing solutions designed to limit movement and stress during transportation.
