UFO Carbon Fiber highlights the distinctive weave of exposed carbon fiber, bringing the material to the forefront of the UFO armchair's curved silhouette.
Produced in three separate series of 100 numbered pieces — one each for UFO Large, UFO Medium and UFO Mini — this limited edition is available with clear matte or gloss finishes, as well as transparent tinted finishes on request.

Exposed Carbon Fiber, Crafted and Finished by Hand
The defining feature of UFO Carbon Fiber is its monocoque outer shell, made entirely from carbon fiber. Shaping the material into UFO’s curved geometry requires specialist craftsmanship and precision throughout production.
Each shell is produced individually through a sequence of manual operations, followed by autoclave curing. Once cured, it is carefully refined and prepared for its final surface finish.
A clear matte or gloss finish highlights the natural carbon weave. On request, a transparent tinted coating can introduce colours such as red, blue or green while keeping the underlying texture visible.
The upholstered inner seat is available in full-grain natural leather, velvet or Alcantara, with colours selected from the Mavimatt sample collection. Each upholstery cover is cut, shaped and sewn by hand to follow the contours of the seat.
Each armchair carries an aluminium identification plaque, engraved with the Mavimatt logo and its individual edition number. Crafted by a jeweller and applied by hand to the shell, the plaque identifies the piece within the limited series assigned to its size.
UFO Carbon Fiber — A Closer Look
Each Mavimatt piece is individually handcrafted in Italy. Subtle variations in surface, tone, texture, form and hand-finished details are inherent to artisanal production and make every piece unique.
