Blue sodalite is a blue marble composed of lazulite, calcite and pyrite. This elegant natural stone of a deep cobalt blue color with an infinite number of nuances is mainly extracted from quarries in Namibia, Bolivia and Brazil but the production is very limited and this feature makes it a very exclusive and precious stone. This gem due to its uniqueness is highly valued by renowned architects and interior designers from all over the world.
How did we create the blue sodalite marble effect UFO armchair?
We never stand back and the blue sodalite marble effect UFO rocking chair is the perfect example, in fact, when one of our customers in Bangkok asked us to make an armchair inspired by one of the most precious marbles in the world, we could not reject to accept the challenge.
We thus wanted to create the first armchair in the world where the shell is made with the effect of blue sodalite, an exclusive edition of the UFO rocking chair linked to the finest marbles in the world.
In particular, the blue sodalite marble effect UFO rocking chair was made with the shell painted entirely by hand with the airbrush technique by an artist from the Mavimatt team with the aim of reproducing the visual effect, shades and texture of blue sodalite marble. The seat of the rocking chair, on the other hand, was created using a natural full-grain black leather.
Not only the customer was more than satisfied with placing his UFO armchair in his private home in Thailand, but we at Mavimatt were also thrilled to have created this unique model in the world, testifying to the fact that the level of customization we are able to recreate for our customers it is very high.
